Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 ¼ cups Milk (whole milk recommended)
  • 1 Large Egg (room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter (melted)
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ cup Nutella (or more to taste)
  • Optional Toppings: Fresh berries, sliced bananas, chopped nuts, powdered sugar

Method

  1. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla.
  3. Pour wet into dry. Whisk gently until just combined (lumps are fine).
  4. Let batter rest for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Heat a non-stick griddle over medium-low. Lightly grease.
  6. Pour ¼ cup batter per pancake. Cook 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer cooked pancakes to a warm oven.
  8. Gently warm Nutella if too thick for drizzling.
  9. Layer pancakes with generous Nutella spreads to create stacks.
  10. Drizzle more Nutella, add toppings, and serve immediately.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter to ensure fluffy pancakes. Resting the batter improves texture. Keep griddle at medium-low heat for even cooking. Use warm Nutella for easy spreading.
