Ingredients

  • 1 cup cold filtered water
  • 2 tablespoons high-quality unflavored gelatin powder
  • 1 cup 100% fruit juice (no added sugar)
  • 1 cup filtered water (for dilution)
  • Optional: natural sweetener (Stevia, Erythritol, Monk Fruit)
  • Optional: fresh or frozen berries

Method

  1. Bloom the Gelatin: In your heat-proof bowl, pour 1 cup of cold filtered water. Sprinkle the unflavored gelatin powder evenly over the cold water. Let it sit undisturbed for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Gently Heat the Juice: Pour your chosen fruit juice into the medium saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat until warm but not boiling.
  3. Dissolve the Gelatin: Once the juice is warm, remove from heat. Add the bloomed gelatin mixture to the warm juice and whisk until dissolved.
  4. Sweeten and Enhance (Optional): Taste the mixture and add desired sweeteners or extracts if necessary.
  5. Add Cold Water: Pour in the remaining cup of cold filtered water and whisk again.
  6. Incorporate Berries (Optional): Fold in fresh or frozen berries if using.
  7. Pour and Chill: Pour the mixture into serving dishes or molds.
  8. Set: Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Serve and Enjoy: Once set, enjoy your vibrant, protein-rich treat!
