Ingredients

Method

  1. Cook the cheese tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak pieces with salt and black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces and sear until browned and cooked to your preferred doneness, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Add the cooked tortellini and the steak back into the skillet. Toss everything together to coat evenly in the garlic cream sauce.
  7. Adjust seasoning with additional salt and pepper if needed.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For a lighter option, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream. You can also use chicken or shrimp instead of steak.
