Equipment

  • Oven
  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper
  • Mixing bowl
  • Spatula

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly coat with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Spread the frozen tater tots evenly on the baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  3. While the tater tots are baking, prepare the toppings. In a small bowl, mix the shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Remove the tater tots from the oven and sprinkle the cheese and bacon mixture evenly over the top.
  5. Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Transfer the loaded tater tots to a serving platter. Drizzle with sour cream and sprinkle with chopped green onions.
  7. Serve immediately while warm and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to customize the toppings with your favorite ingredients, such as jalapeños or diced tomatoes.
