Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray it with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Spread the frozen tater tots evenly across the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
  3. While the tater tots are baking, prepare the toppings. Mix the sour cream with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Set aside.
  4. Once the tater tots are cooked, transfer them to a heat-resistant serving platter or leave them on the baking sheet for easier cleanup.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the tater tots while they are still hot, allowing the cheese to melt.
  6. Top the cheesy tater tots with crumbled bacon and dollops of the seasoned sour cream mixture.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions for an extra pop of flavor and color.
  8. Serve immediately while hot and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to substitute turkey bacon or add jalapeños for extra spice.
