Preparation
- Toss cranberries with 1 Tbsp. lime juice, then drain. Toss the cranberries with 2 Tbsp. sugar and spread them onto a baking sheet to dry.
- Combine salt and the remaining 2 Tbsp. sugar on a shallow plate. Rub the rim of each glass with a lime wedge, then dip into the salt mixture to coat.
- In a large blender, combine ice, cranberry juice, tequila, triple sec, and the remaining 1/2 cup lime juice. Blend until the mixture is smooth and slushy.
- Pour the blended margarita into the prepared glasses. Garnish each drink with mint sprigs and a few of the sugared cranberries.
Notes
For an extra chilled drink, consider chilling your glasses in the freezer before rimming and serving. Adjust the amount of sugar in the rim or the drink to suit your sweetness preference.
