Equipment

  • coffee maker
  • pitcher
  • Stirring Spoon
  • measuring cups
  • Serving glasses

Method

  1. Brew the coffee and let it cool to room temperature, or chill it in the refrigerator for faster cooling.
  2. In a glass or pitcher, stir together the cooled coffee, milk or half-and-half, sugar or sweetener, and vanilla extract if using until the sweetener is fully dissolved.
  3. Fill serving glasses with ice cubes.
  4. Pour the coffee mixture over the ice.
  5. Top with whipped cream if desired and serve immediately.

Notes

For a stronger coffee flavor, use chilled brewed coffee or coffee ice cubes. Adjust the sweetness and milk to taste, and skip the vanilla or whipped cream if you want a simpler drink.
