Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup high-quality protein powder

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy lifting. Lightly grease the parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, melt the unsalted butter. Add the granulated sugar and whisk until well combined. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate medium mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, protein powder, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  5. Pour the batter into your prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes. A toothpick inserted should come out with moist crumbs.
  6. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Once cooled, chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  7. Lift the brownie slab out of the pan using parchment overhang. Use heart-shaped cookie cutters to cut out individual brownies.
  8. Serve and enjoy your Heart Shaped Brownies.
