Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup water boiling
  • enough tea to make a strong cup
  • 1/4 cup sugar scant
  • 1 envelope gelatin or 2 sheets

Equipment

  • Measuring cup
  • Bowl
  • Spoon/Whisk
  • Serving vessels

Method

Instructions
  1. Steep the tea in hot water until it reaches a desired strong, non-bitter strength.
  2. Stir the sugar into the hot tea until it is completely dissolved.
  3. Sprinkle powdered gelatin over the hot tea and stir until dissolved; if using sheets, soften them in cold water then add to the hot tea and stir until dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture into suitable vessels and refrigerate until fully set.

Notes

Ensure the tea is strong but not bitter for optimal flavor. Make sure both the sugar and gelatin are completely dissolved before refrigerating to achieve the correct texture. Allow at least 4 hours for the gelatin to set properly in the refrigerator.
