Main Ingredients
  • 2 boxes Instant pudding mix 3.4 ounce, Vanilla or French Vanilla
  • 2 cups cold milk whole, oat or almond
  • 14 oz sweet condensed milk
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cool whip
  • 2 boxes vanilla wafers
  • 2 ripe bananas optional
  • 1 box chessman cookies optional
  • 16 ounces strawberries
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar

Equipment

  • Large Mixing Bowl
  • Whisk
  • Refrigerator
  • Serving dish
  • Plastic wrap
  • Knife

Method

Instructions
  1. Cut strawberries into small slices, mix with granulated sugar, and let sit for at least an hour to create syrup.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until smooth, then refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese with sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually fold in strawberry syrup, cool whip, and macerated strawberries until fully combined.
  4. Gently fold the prepared cream cheese mixture into the pudding, ensuring a smooth and uniform consistency.
  5. Pour and spread a layer of the combined pudding mixture over vanilla wafers or chessman cookies in a serving dish.
  6. Create three layers by alternating crushed vanilla wafers, macerated strawberries, sliced bananas, and the pudding mixture, finishing with a top layer of vanilla pudding.
  7. Cover the layered pudding with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight to allow the flavors to meld and set properly.
  8. Before serving, decorate your banana pudding with additional cookies, fresh strawberries, and strawberry syrup.

Notes

For the best flavor and texture, allow the strawberry mixture to macerate for at least an hour (or longer for more syrup). It is crucial to refrigerate the assembled pudding overnight, as this allows the flavors to fully meld and the pudding to set perfectly before decorating and serving.
