  • 150 ml Espresso *OR Instant Coffee Granules 150ml Water & 2 teaspoons Instant Coffee Granules
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Corn Starch
  • 25 g Dark Chocolate Chips OR broken Dark Chocolate pieces
  • Kahlúa optional

Equipment

  • Moka pot
  • Saucepan
  • Moulds/Serving glasses

Method

Instructions
  1. Prepare 150ml espresso, then add cold milk to reach a total volume of 300ml.
  2. In a saucepan, combine sugar and corn starch, then add the cold coffee milk and mix thoroughly before stirring in the dark chocolate.
  3. Cook the mixture over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until it boils, thickens, and becomes gooey; then remove from heat.
  4. Pour the hot mixture into moulds or serving glasses, let it cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until fully set.
  5. Prevent water condensation from softening or ruining the jelly.
  6. Optionally, serve the cooled jelly with Kahlúa as a sauce.

Notes

Ensure the coffee milk is not hot when combining with sugar and corn starch to prevent lumps. To achieve the best texture, keep the jelly covered in the fridge to avoid condensation, which can soften the jelly. Chilling time is approximately 2-3 hours until completely set.
