Clear Gelatin

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unflavored gelatin powder
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 1 cup clear fruit juice or natural extract
  • optional sweetener
  • pinch of salt (optional)

Method
 

  1. Bloom the gelatin by sprinkling it over ½ cup of cold filtered water and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Heat the remaining filtered water or juice in a saucepan until it simmers, then remove from heat.
  3. Pour the hot liquid over the bloomed gelatin and whisk until completely dissolved.
  4. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a serving dish.
  5. Cool the strained mixture to room temperature and refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.

Notes

Ensure to use high-quality gelatin and filtered water for clarity.
Avoid vigorous whisking to prevent air bubbles.
Straining is essential for achieving a crystal-clear final product.
