Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix the shredded chicken with buffalo sauce and ranch dressing until evenly coated.
  3. Slice the slider buns in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms connected if possible for easier assembly.
  4. Place the bottom halves of the buns in the prepared baking dish and spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over them.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the chicken, then add the chopped green onions.
  6. Place the top halves of the buns over the filling.
  7. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, softened butter, and garlic powder, then brush or spread the mixture over the tops of the buns.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 12 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for 5 to 8 more minutes, until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  10. Let the sliders cool for a few minutes, then slice and serve warm with extra ranch or blue cheese dressing if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, use rotisserie chicken and a sharp cheddar cheese. You can also add more buffalo sauce if you prefer a spicier slider.
